Animated Banner Ads
Animated banners fill the space between static banner ads and video ads. Animated ads are ideal for when movement is required but a video ad is impractical, or for when multiple frames of info need to be shown in a limited space. Of course, a simpler reason is that animated ads are great at generating interest.
Responsive Display Ads
Responsive display ads were introduced by Google in 2016, and ClickSynaptic quickly mastered the art and science of their writing and placement. The ads are "responsive" in that they morph to suit the size and style of whichever website they're displayed on. In essence, they're shape-shifting ads, which sometimes appear as image ads, sometimes as text ads, and other times as native advertising. These types of ads aren't necessarily quite as stylish as a well-designed banner ad... but they more than compensate for this by being extremely flexible and by having extraordinary reach.
What About Remarketing?
Remarketing (sometimes called "retargeting") is exactly what it sounds like: re-marketing. In other words, "marketing again". Nearly any type of ad can be used as a remarketing ad — static banners, animated ads, responsive ads, videos, even regular text ads — so long as it's being shown to potential customers you've marketed to in the past (usually, individuals who've visited your website). You've likely seen these ads yourself, the ones that seem to "follow" you around the web.
But there's a trick to implementing them successfully (actually, there are a few): Since you're essentially asking for a second chance (in re-marketing to the same individuals), you should offer something new the second time around — a new message, a new offer, perhaps a deal-sweetener... and maybe even send them to a different page on your website (or to a different standalone landing page).
